The team has 35 years of experience in placing traditional braces. This popular orthodontic treatment consists of brackets and wires that gradually shift your teeth into the correct position.
Traditional braces use stainless steel brackets and archwires to move your teeth into their proper position. Many teenagers like to decorate their braces with different colored rubber bands to give them a colorful and unique smile. You can choose a new color (or colors) during every adjustment!
The HealthyStart System is a braces-free orthodontic treatment that corrects sleep-disordered breathing in children. This soft, removable device guides erupting teeth into proper alignment to improve sleep quality, breathing, tongue problems, and speech issues. It also helps prevent future orthodontic problems.
Invisalign clear aligners are translucent, discreet, and removable. They’re a popular option for adults and teens. Alexandria Dental Clinic has been creating Invisalign treatment plans for 20 years.
You can take Invisalign out to brush your teeth, eat, and drink, making them a convenient option for people of all ages. Invisalign also uses an entirely digital process and can correct orthodontic issues in as little as six months.
iTero® Intraoral Scanner
One of our newest pieces of technology equipment is our iTero 3D scanner. It allows us to take photos of your smile which are computer-assembled into a perfect 3-D picture of your teeth and gums. We can also use it to show you the results you can get with Invisalign®.
The largest benefit of producing images with our scanner is that you won’t have to get impressions made, which can be quite unpleasant. You won’t have to deal with the unpleasant taste of the gooey material, or the discomfort of the molding trays. Instead, the scanning process is quite comfortable, and you can breathe normally and take breaks any time during the 2-4 minute procedure.
Alexandria Dental Clinic has been offering growth and development appliances for over 35 years. These appliances called "functional appliances" are designed to get the jaw bones in the correct positions and to avoid permanent tooth extractions for braces. They are usually removable "retainers" that bring out the full growth potential programmed into the DNA.
These appliances are used starting as early as age 5-6 rather than waiting until the child is 11-12 and trying to deal with the crowding and mismatch after it has happened and there is little to no growth time left. Functional appliances are often part of a comprehensive orthodontic treatment.
